At Old Style - We do more than just shine shoes.
That being said, You're simply not polished if your shoes don't shine.
We can perform most types of repairs on many types of shoes.
Below are some of the most common repairs.
Prices are approximate and will fluctuate depending on the condition of the shoe and the type of material needed for the repair.
We carry an extensive range of Vibram composite soles and JR leather soles, as well as materials from many other manufacturers.
*ALL equestrian items must be reasonably clean of hay, etc., before being brought in*
*Customers MUST have a prescription from a medical professional detailing the type of adjustment needed on the shoe.
We can do anything Birkenstock-related.
We also work on bags, purses, belts, and other items. These prices tend to vary more widely depending on the work required.
There are a few repairs that we do NOT do.

Saphir creme,
Three coats of Superior wax, brush, and buffing towel.
Shoe shine lasts about 3 - 5 weeks. Some customers say, "It lasts way longer than expected."

Takes between 15 - 25 minutes, depending on the condition of the shoe/chukka/boot.
*Appointments are only for in-the-chair shoe shines!
We start by washing the shoes with Lincoln EZ Cleaner, which is made of all types of leather, including suede, nubuck, canvas, and satin.
We then add a leather lotion, Tarrago Nano lotion. This lotion is great during the winter months; it's a Superior waterproofer.
We add a cream polish—Saphir, Boot Black, or Meltonian. It feeds the shoe with nutrients and vitamins that the leather no longer has.
We then add Saphir, Boot Black, Angelus, or Meltonian Wax, plus two more coats of Superior Wax. Brushing the shoe brings up the shine, and we finish with a buffing towel to bring up a hard shine!
Lasts about 2 - 4 weeks. Seattle's hard shine is suitable for our Seattle rainy weather.
Wax does more than just polish; it cleans, preserves, is water-resistant, and restores. The finest grade of other waxes and oils.Takes 15 - 20 minutes - Depending on the condition of the shoes.
Tailored specifically for the PNW climate, the Seattle Shine is perfect for your everyday shoes!

Absolutely no petroleum-based or synthetic ingredients are used.
With its all-natural, pine-based turpentine solvent, you can literally smell the difference between Saphir shoe polish and it.

In some cases, OTF is required for repair or best shine.
It takes twice as much time - doing one shoe at a time, sometimes three times as long, depending on the dirt or stains.
Cleaning the inside of the shoe, taking out the insoles and cleaning them, taking out the shoe laces and washing them or replacing them if needed, and washing the bottom of the shoes as well.
Therefore, we must add a surcharge of $10
In addition to quality repair and/or great shine, we clean the bottom of the shoes and use a shoe refresher for the inside. In the event of unforeseen issues, such as lace replacement, extra gluing, or stain removal, we'll contact you and adjust the final cost accordingly.
Cordovan leather is essentially horse leather, but not every leather that comes from a horse is Cordovan. Only the so-called shells or butts, which are the rear quarters of the horse, are turned into Cordovan, hence the often-used name Shell Cordovan.
Cordovan is an equine leather with a unique look that comes from a very small part of the horse's back. These hyper-resistant and flexible leathers require regular maintenance.
Clean, use Saphir Renovateur, and apply Saphir Cordovan Cream Shoe Polish
It is also perfect for Crocodile, Alligator, Ostrich, and Cordovan leathers. It is a water-based formulation—no solvents. It rejuvenates leather through deep conditioning. I like to clean and polish my Cordovan about twice a year. But, like all my shoes, I brush them before and after I wear them.
Saphir Cordovan leather cream
The Saphir Médaille d'Or Cordovan Cream Shoe Polish is an all-natural cream polish based on beeswax and carnauba, several other nutrient waxes, and double the amount of pigment of ordinary polishes. It is formulated especially for high-quality cordovan leather and does not contain turpentine.
Australian deer bone contains its own oils and, importantly, has rounded edges that protect leather from damage. Use the deer bone to eliminate creases. It is suggested that a professional use it because it can take some time and can easily scratch the cordovan if not used correctly.
